Staff and volunteers will be on hand to offer guidance and advice on local options such as schooling, sports and leisure facilities, parks and activities.

If necessary we offer confidential play therapy sessions, either at the refuge or the child's school. These can be done on a 1:1 basis or in a group setting with family members. These sessions are as long and as frequent, as is comfortable for the child.

Children have a voice in Sanctuary House:
Children are also included in the decisions we make in our weekly children's meetings. We try to hold children's activities at least once a week and more frequently during school holidays. In the past these have included drama workshops, day trips, swimming, bowling, cooking, etc.
